At local level
PL/PA Course
Patrol Leader/Patrol Assistant (PL/PA) course is one of the first courses the young scout attends. The aim of this course is to qualify the PL and to increase the friendship between the PL and PA in the district.
At regional level
Common for all the courses in the district is that scouts from all over the country participate even though it is a district course. In all the courses the scouts will be divided into patrols with other scouts that they do not know to begin with.
Roland 1
For scouts between 13-15 years. The aim of the course is to make the PL aware of the importance of a good teamwork in the patrol and to further basic scouting skills.
The course is a week during the summer holidays.
Roland 2
For scouts between 14-16 years.
The aim of the course is that the PL learns to:
- Give instructions
- Plan and carry out activities in the patrol
- Create new ideas
- Build up at good teamwork
- Take on responsibility and express his outlook.
The course is one week during the autumn or Easter holidays
Diamond
For scouts between 15-17 years.
Diamonds are made under pressure and the aim of this course is to develop and inspire the PL to take on more difficult assignments through challenging activities. The course is outdoor camping one week in the autumn or during the Easter holidays.
At national level
ULK (Youth Leaders Course)
For scouts between 17-20 years.
The aim of the course is to make the scout an active part of his scout group and to educate the scout to be an instructor in courses in the division, district and in the association. The course is a one week course during the autumn or Easter holidays.
